GEAPS Associates Elect Directors, Name New Officers
Grain Elevator and Processing Society (GEAPS)


OMAHA, NEB. -- The Associate membership of GEAPS, representing some 1,000 suppliers of equipment and services to the grain-handling industry, has elected its 2008-2009 board of directors.

Election results were announced at the Associates Annual Board meeting here Feb. 26. The meeting was held in conjunction with GEAPS Exchange 2008, the organization’s 79th annual international technical conference and exposition.

Elected to three-year terms to the Associates Board members are:

--Tom Pruess, Mill & Elevator Supply Co./Rubber Belting & Hose, Kansas City Chapter;

-- Dan Vis, Hi Roller Conveyors, Siouxland Chapter;

-- Jim Rogers, WAM USA Inc., Golden Triangle;

-- Nelson Wagner, Brock Grain Systems, Hoosier Chapter

The Associates Board represents GEAPS’ Associate members who work for companies that supply equipment, products and services to the grain handling operations industry.

Elected secretary at the meeting was Associates Board Director Steve Schmitt, Minneapolis Chapter. Steve is Vice President of T.E. Ibberson Co. Gary Geist, Kings Valley Industries, Inc., was elected to fill the remaining year of Mr. Schmitt’s director term.

Associates moving into new positions were Steve Ginter, 2008-09 Associates Board President, and Craig Jones, Associates Vice President.

Ginter is marketing manager for grain systems products with Chief Agri/Industrial Division, Kearney, Neb. Jones, a sales representative, Tramco, Inc., Wichita, Kan., will become Associates 2009-10 Board President next February at Exchange 2009 in St. Louis.
